MBA courses

You will need to have a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) from an accredited college, institution, or university, equivalent to or higher than a UK bachelor’s degree with honours. Min a 2:2 is accepted for academic pathway.

All applicants (under 2:2) must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a professional, managerial or supervisory role minimum.

The tuition fees for an MBA course are:

MSc Computer Science courses

You will need to have a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) from an accredited college, institution, or university, equivalent to or higher than a UK bachelor’s degree with honours. Min a 2:2 is accepted for academic pathway. Applicants with significant work experience but without a formal Level 6 qualification will also be considered.

All applicants (under 2:2) must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a professional, managerial or supervisory role minimum.

Course information

Our degree courses are offered as part-time study only.

Our courses are not third party accredited. There is however, a system of quality assurance delivered by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and University of Gloucestershire is a legally recognised, degree-awarding body, by the UK government.

Our courses have six start dates each year, so you will be able to get your studies started soon after your application is accepted. Visit your preferred course's homepage to find the next available start date.

Our degree courses are designed to be completed in 24 months part-time.

Our degree courses are 180 credit units (UK credit units as set out by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education).

An exit award provides recognition of completion of a number of credits when you have not completed a full master's. It means you can exit your course with a Postgraduate Certificate after completing 60 credits (four modules) or a Postgraduate Diploma after 120 credits (eight modules).

While a Master's degree will help to open doors with employment as well as study, you'll need to check the specific entry requirements of the course and institution you are interested in to find out if our courses are acceptable for entry.

Yes, you will be required to complete an independent research project as part of your final 30-credit module.

Your degree certificate will only include your course title and will not state that it was studied online. Your transcript provides more detail and will have the mode of delivery state as online.

Entry requirements

You will need to demonstrate proficiency in English if your first language is not English, or most recent education or work experience was not in English by completing an approved English language test such as IELTS (6.0 overall with no individual sub-scores under 5.5), Pearson Test of English Academic (no less than 59 in each component), or equivalent.

Yes. You will need to submit evidence of two years' relevant experience when you submit your application.

Our degree courses are entirely online – you will not require a visa while you study with us.

You will need to provide either a copy of the transcript of your highest academic qualification or evidence of your work experience. You will also be required to provide photographic ID in order to register as a student.

You can upload your documents with your application.

If you are applying based on work experience, you may be asked to provide contact details of a reference(s) to demonstrate the required work history.

We aim to provide a decision within two days of receiving your application. In some instances we may need to refer your application to another team for further consideration. It may take up to a week to reach a decision in these cases.

Yes, you can change the course you've applied to, however there are some implications to consider depending on start date and tuition fee.

Your offer

You are accepting your offer and agreeing to University of Gloucestershire's Terms and Conditions, by completing payment and module registration.

Yes you can defer for up to 3 intakes.

Fees and payment

Our tuition fees vary by course and are displayed at the top of each course page. Find and select your course to view its cost.

Payment must be received by the Friday before your course start date at the latest.

Once your application has been accepted, you will be provided with access to a payment portal, which will provide instructions on how to make payment.

You can pay per module to help break up the cost of your course.

You can pay using a credit or debit card or accepted online wallets.

No. All students on our online degree courses are eligible to pay the same fees.

If you withdraw from a chosen module before registration, you will be entitled to a full refund. Alternatively, should you register and start your module, there is a 14-calendar day cooling off period, where you will remain entitled to a full refund. To request a refund, please speak to your student success co-ordinator, who will be able to advise you of your refund entitlement. All refunds will be processed back to the original payment source.

Yes, your employer can sponsor you on your degree course.

Unfortunately, we do not offer scholarships for our online degree courses. You can search online however, to see if other organisations offer postgraduate scholarships.

Yes, you can claim a 10% alumni discount on a Gloucestershire online degree course if you have completed an undergraduate course with us.

Studying online

Canvas, our online learning management platform.

You will have access to a discussion board in Canvas, our online learning management platform, where you will be able to get in touch and interact with your classmates.

21.5 hours, this includes both course content and independent study

There are breaks over the Summer and over Christmas holiday.

Each module includes a variety of learning activities. You should expect a mixture of reading, short video lectures, interactive eLearning and quizzes. You should also expect to undertake a number of discussion board activities with your tutors and fellow students.

Each module will have its own assessments, please refer to the assessment briefs for details.

The delivery of our online courses is entirely asynchronous. This means there are no live, scheduled classes and you are able to study all components of the course at a time and place that suits you.

The course is regularly reviewed and updated.

No, the reading material is available online.

No, you will not need to attend campus to complete your course requirements. You may visit campus as an online student if you would like to.

To support your attainment, we encourage regular engagement with learning to ensure you progress through the module at a manage pace and do not fall behind. We will monitor your engagement with the module content at regular stages, and get in touch with you to check everything is ok, if we don’t see you for a while. As all learning materials are online and made available to you at the start of your module, there is no attendance required.

Academic support

You will be able to contact your module tutor via Canvas, our online learning platform. You tutor will monitor completion of tasks and provide regular feedback on assessment performance. Your tutor will also respond to discussion on the dedicated forums on Canvas.

Our academic supervisors and tutors are experienced subject matter experts and professionals in their respective fields. They are here to support your learning journey by providing academic guidance, feedback on your work, and helping you stay on track throughout your course.
